Description of Service
Quillby is a scorekeeping application for iOS, for board games, card games, and video games. You define your own scoresheets — which columns they have, how each column is counted, and which number decides the winner — and record plays against them.
Quillby does not know the rules of any game. It records what you enter and applies the rules you set.
Scores and Game Rules
Quillby keeps the numbers as you enter them and applies your own scoring rules to them. It does not adjudicate disputes, enforce any game's official rules, or determine outcomes on its own. If the app and the people at the table disagree, the table is right.
Purchases
Quillby is free to download and free to use. The free version allows you to create up to three games. A single one-time purchase, "Unlimited Games" at $7.99, removes that limit. There is no subscription, no trial, and no recurring charge.
The purchase unlocks game creation. Games you have already created remain fully usable regardless of whether you have purchased.
The purchase is permanent and can be restored through Apple on any device signed into the same Apple Account. Family Sharing is enabled.
All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.
Intellectual Property
Quillby, including its name, icon, mascot, themes, design, and source code, is the intellectual property of Gastlichu Creations and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app or its assets without prior written permission.
Your Data
All data you create in Quillby is stored locally on your device. You own your data. We do not access, collect, or store any of your information on external servers.
You can export your data at any time and delete it at any time.
Limitation of Liability
Quillby is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to data loss or disputes about game outcomes.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Quillby shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in San Diego County, California.
Termination
You may stop using Quillby at any time by deleting the app from your device.
Changes to These Terms
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
