Quillby — Privacy Policy

Summary
Quillby does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your scores stay on your device.
Data Storage
All data you enter into Quillby — games, players, groups, plays, scores, notes, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data is stored on external servers. Quillby makes no network connections of any kind.
If you use Apple's iCloud Backup, your local app data may be included in your device backup according to your iOS settings. This backup is encrypted and managed by Apple — Quillby does not control or access your iCloud backups.
Data Collection
Quillby does not collect:
- Personal information (name, email, address, phone number)
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
This list is exhaustive. Quillby collects nothing.
Voluntary Communications
If you contact us for support via email, we will only use your email address and any information you provide to resolve your issue. We do not use support emails for marketing or add them to any mailing lists.
Platform Analytics
Apple may collect crash reports and app usage data if you have opted into sharing analytics with developers in your iOS device settings. This data is aggregated and anonymized by Apple, and is governed by Apple's privacy policies. Quillby does not independently collect any analytics or diagnostics.
Purchases
Quillby offers one in-app purchase, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app never sees your payment information and stores nothing about the purchase. When Quillby needs to know whether the purchase exists, it asks Apple each time.
Family Sharing is enabled for this purchase, which means it can be shared with members of your family group through Apple's own system. Quillby has no visibility into your family group.
Data Export
You can export your data at any time. Every export produces three files: a JSON backup and two CSV files for use in a spreadsheet. Export is initiated by you and the files stay on your device until you choose to share them.
Data Deletion
Quillby does not have a single "delete all data" button. You can delete individual games, players, and plays from within the app at any time. Deleting the app from your device removes all Quillby data permanently.
Children's Privacy
Quillby is suitable for all ages. The app does not collect any data from anyone, children or adults.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
